Thermal Conductivity
- Rigid Polyurethane Foam : + - 0.0197 kcal/m-hr/c
- Thermocol ( EPS ) : + - 0.042 kcal/m-hr/c
PUF exhibits a lower thermal conductivity value as compare to Thermocol ( EPS ) hence providing better insulation properties.
Temperature Range
- Rigid Polyurethane Foam ( PUF ) : - 80 to 110 Deg C
- Thermocol ( EPS ) : - 40 to 70 Deg C
Ageing & Durability
The thermal properties of Rigid Polyurethane Foam remains constant over a period of time were as Thermocol ( EPS ) shows heavy deuteriation in thermal properties with time on account. Therefore ; PUF Panel is more Durable & long-lasting as compare to Thermocol ( EPS ) Panel for Cold Room & Cold Storage.
Weather Resistance
Crack and cavities occurs in Thermocol ( EPS ) due to prologue exposure to adverse climatic condition on the other hand Rigid Polyurethane Foam ( PUF ) efficiently withstand extreme climatic condition.
Compressive Strength
Rigid Polyurethane Foam have better compressive strength of over 150 KPA with 90% closure rate were as Thermocol ( EPS ) manifest a compressive strength of less than 72 KPA.
